Field Trip excitement!!!
Last year we had right at 7,000 students’s little feet running around on our farm! We are thrilled to have been chosen as a field trip destination by so many schools. Teachers comment that they love the organized activities, structure, and the well-kept property. This year, once again, we will offer three field trip opportunities: October pumpkins, December Christmas trees, and April/May spring field trips.
What’s New?
1. We have added another new maze to keep you challenged. It’s located down by the playground and is made of over 100 T posts. Check it out!
2. The HAYRIDE STOP is a newly built pavilion constructed to help accommodate our growing numbers. Sit under the shade and wait for the tractor to take you on a scenic hayride. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that we added another trailer so there will two running at all times.
3. We added another larger pavilion next to the Back Porch Country Store just for cooking and selling pumpkins. We are excited to have more working space and offer our customers more choices on the menu! Yum!
Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins!
Once again there will be a nice selection of pumpkins around the farm for you to choose from! We can’t wait to see the creative artists at the pumpkin painting! The Pumpkin Extravaganza is going to be tons of fun this year. We’re excited to offer our military families half price admission during our opening weekend as our way of thanking them for their service! And, this year Halloween falls on a Saturday. Wear your costume and we’ll have a surprise just for you!
Christmas Trees!!
We were able to finish out our last new tree field bringing our total number of trees to over 15,000. Instead of developing new fields from now on, we will only have to go in and replant where trees have been cut down – much easier! Despite the heat and drought our trees have done very well through use of drip irrigation with us only losing some of the babies with small root systems. These will be replaced as temperatures cool back down this fall and winter. Our established trees have done well allowing us to be able to offer a wide assortment of sizes and shapes for this coming Christmas season. Your family is certain to find the perfect tree to take home!!
