Field trips are geared for Pre-K through 5th
grade students. The cost is $6.00 per student (one teacher free per class) and
last approximately 3 hours. Each field trip includes an informative talk about
parts of a plant and the plant growth cycle as it pertains to pumpkins,
Christmas trees, and flowers.
Each field trip is unique
and customized to fit the season as well as your group:
October: Learn
how pumpkins grow and paint your own mini-pumpkin to take home.
December:
Learn how we grow trees and make a Christmas craft to take home.
Spring: Learn the parts of a plant while making your
own flower craft to take home.
Each field trip, no
matter which season, includes the following:

a scenic hayride through the Christmas tree fields
·
feed and visit our farm animals
·
navigate your way through our rope and hay bale mazes
·
play on our oak shaded playground
·
pump water the old-fashioned way at our duck races
·
enjoy various game stations: golf, horseshoes,
washers, etc.
·
eat your picnic lunch at our picnic tables under our
pavilion

OPTIONS AVAILABLE:
*Mine for Treasure- Let your
classes enjoy mining for gemstones or arrowheads at our brand new Mining
Sluice. Mining rough ranges in price from $5.00-7.00 per bag (each bag is enough for 2 students) and is a great souvenir
to take home! We can arrange for your class to rotate through this fun,
hands-on station if you’d like to add it to your field trip experience.
*Back Porch Country Store- Cold
drinks, ice-cream, specialty candy, nachos, coloring books and gift items are
just a few of the items we offer!
Columbus Day- Monday, October 13th from 9:00-2:00
This day is dedicated to the home school community and moms, dads and grandparents who stay home with little ones! All the activities available on weekends will be available for you to enjoy. Admission is the same as weekends ($8.00 for ages 1 & up). Cold drinks and snacks will be available, however, there won't be any grillin' so feel free to bring your sack lunch. No reservations required. Just come on out to the farm and enjoy a great time!
